There really isn't a 'typical' cost for a kitchen. Most of the cost depends completely on the style of kitchen you choose and what is included in the design and layout. And, of course, size counts too . . . . A piece of string is always handy to have!
BUT, to give you an idea, take a look at the computer images on this page. The cost of a kitchen similar to the one illustrated would be around Euro 3,500 inclusive of tax and delivered to your home. This is the cost for cabinets and doors only and does not include worktops, sink and tap or appliances.
The images show a small kitchen designed for a cottage renovation in Central Portugal. The new roof has been beamed and the windows and patio doors are in aluminium timber effect. The floor is in an engineered oak.
The client wanted the kitchen to be a simple design in keeping with the rustic atmosphere of the building and with the low ceiling beams a nice chunky oak shelf for bits and bobs worked perfectly in place of wall units.
The cabinets are made in an oak timber effect and the doors are solid timber in a plain shaker style, painted in sage green. The grain of the timber shows through the paint finish to give a marvellously traditional feel.
All doors are on Hettich soft close hinges and drawer runners glide effortlessly on soft close runners - no more banging and scraping!
Kitchens in Portugal can supply all your appliances and other kitchen items. Here, the hob is a 'gas on glass' version which helps when you come to clean! Many of our clients opt for an induction hob, which is dead-easy to clean as no heat is generated on the glass - nothing burns on - and temperature control is just so responsive it is almost magical.
